The protection of each User’s personal information is an important aspect of our service. To this end, below we set out the information principles that Axon VetCare Technologies Corporation (“ Axon VetCare”) follows when we collect, use, share and otherwise manage User personal information." Personal Information" is information that can be used to identify a specific User.
We collect Personal Information in two ways: (1) information you provide us; and (2) information we get automatically from your use of the Platform.
When you sign up as a User for the Platform, we may request certain Personal Information from you. This information may include your name, email address, picture, and phone number.
When you engage in certain activities on the website (such as uploading Records), you may provide us with information related to an animal’s name, owner, date of birth, sex, and species.
When you choose to use certain services of the Platform, such as sharing your Records on the Platform by inviting other Users to view this information, you will be asked to provide certain billing and credit card information (" Payment Information"). We do not retain any credit card information on our servers.
When you use our Platform, we collect information about your mobile phone, including your IP address, the type of operating system and browser you use, your phone’s location, what pages you visit on our Platform, and what links you click on.
We also collect information, in aggregate form, relating to demographics, such as your age and gender (" Demographic Information").
We store Personal Information, Records, and information uploaded to the Platform in our repository. We store this data in Canada but may also do so in other jurisdictions around the world using commercially available cloud solutions.
We use your Personal Information to connect you with Data Viewers in various industries, including but not limited to animal health professionals and individuals who reasonably need access to such Records to provide their Services. To that end, we may share Personal Information with Data Viewers but only to the extent that Users allow such access by inviting the Data Viewers to view the information (please see the section “Accessing, Updating, or Deleting Your Information” below for more information).
We do not sell, rent or lease your Personal Information to third parties.
From time to time, we may run analytics on User data and generate anonymized results for various purposes (“ Anonymized Data ”). You agree that as between you and us, we own the Anonymized Data.
When you pay a fee to use certain features on the Platform, Payment Information will be sent to a third party service provider which will process and complete the purchasing transaction. Payments for our services on the Platform are done so using on-line services such as Stripe or Moneris which are technology companies that allow both private individuals and businesses to accept payments over the Internet.
There are specific cases where we may need to share your Personal Information without your consent. These situations include cases in which we in good faith believe we need to disclose your information to:
In these cases we will make reasonable efforts not disclose more than is necessary and we will provide you with notice of the disclosure as soon as possible.
We endeavour to offer Users access to their Records at all times. We control access to Records uploaded on the Platform. Records can only be accessed by those Users that put them there and by Users that have been granted access to the Records (i.e. Data Viewers). Data Viewers can be granted access to Records through two mechanisms: (1) by the User whose account is associated with such Record; or (2) by another Data Viewer who was previously provided access to the Records. Users are notified each time their Records are shared with Data Viewers.
To help keep the Platform running smoothly, it is important that your Personal Information be up to date and accurate. You can update or change your Personal Information by logging in to your account and making the changes manually.
You can contact email@example.com directly if you wish for your information to be deleted. Some of your information may have to be kept for audit and/or archival purposes. This information will be deleted when it is no longer required.
